Frances
Eagleson led the vision of creating a chapter on the
campus of North Carolina Central University. She was
a member of the Alpha Zeta Omega chapter of Durham,
North Carolina. Along with other members she helped
initiate seventeen young ladies who would come to
be known as "The Marvelous 17".
